Senior Unity Animator (Tetris)

Playstudios is looking for a Senior Unity Animator to join us in creating high-profile, original animations  for our newly acquired Tetris mobile game.

PLAYSTUDIOS, Inc. is the creator and a publisher of  the iconic Tetris® mobile app, POP!Slots, myVEGAS Slots etc. Besides USA and Asia, Playstudios Europe has opened its doors in Belgrade in 2021. where we are working on the new Tetris® app and also on the Pop!Slots and MGM Slots Live game. A successful candidate must demonstrate a deep understanding of animation principles and the ability to work in a wide range of visual styles with attention to detail, strong technical skills, and creative problem-solving. The candidate should have solid communication skills, be able to embrace direction with enthusiasm, and be accustomed to collaborating with a diverse group of disciplines to implement and refine the animation pipeline.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create amazing 2D or 3D  animations for interactive real-time gameplay and cinematic cutscenes
• Create visual effects that reward players as well as communicate in-game information
• Play a role in the concept phase and produce mocks and proof of concepts animations
• Build features with our development team in unity
• Collaborate with other designers,  artists, developers, and product managers to generate effective design solutions within deadlines and technical limitations
• Be self-sufficient. As a resourceful and resilient self-starter, you can thrive in a fast-paced environment where initiative and innovation are required
• Produce content quickly without sacrificing quality

REQUIREMENTS

• Completed education or equivalent work experience as an animator
• At least 2+ years of experience in animation
• Must have experience with VFX and particles
• Proficient knowledge of Unity work environment
• Proficient knowledge of 2D cut-out animation, Adobe Flash/Animate, After effects, Spine, or the ability to adopt it
• Doing basic 3D animations in Maya, Blender or equivalent 3D softwares
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of animation principles and have the ability to work in a wide variety of visual styles
• Attention to detail, strong technical background, and creative problem solving are a must
• Ability to learn new technologies and software packages
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and embrace having many projects running at the same time
• Team player who gladly speaks their mind, and responds well to constructive feedback
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Exceptional organizational, collaboration, and communication skills

BONUS

• Experience working in games and/or social games companies
• An excellent understanding of visual communication and user experience
• Experience in agile methodologies
