Senior Python Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team working on a long-term engagement for a foreign clients. You will collaborate closely with a well-established team on our side, as well as with engineers from the client’s organization, contributing to the development of scalable backend services (and) intuitive frontend features. The role offers the opportunity to gradually take ownership of specific functional areas and participate in code reviews, helping maintain high engineering standards across the team.

The project is centered around integrating multiple advanced AI models (such as GPT, Gemini, and others) to address a wide range of user needs. It brings together various AI-driven modules, including automated document analysis, document translation, and the creation of custom components that operate on user-provided knowledge bases.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using Python, Flask, and SQLAlchemy
• Implement and enhance user-facing features
• Work within Azure cloud environments and follow established DevOps workflows
• Collaborate with team members to design and deliver high-quality solutions
• Gradually take ownership of specific parts of the system and their functionality
• Participate in codereviews, ensuring code quality and consistency
• Troubleshoot issues, debug production problems, and propose improvements

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience with Python and web frameworks (at least 5 years of experience)
• Solid understanding of relational databases and ORM tools (ideally SQLAlchemy)
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure is a plus
• Experience with Django is a plus
  
• Experience with Fintech applications is a plus
• Good grasp of software development best practices (testing, code review, clean architecture)
• Ability to work independently and gradually take ownership of features
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
