TeleTrader is announcing the following vacancy within its Fund Data Processing department:

MySQL Database Administrator

Main Tasks:

• Manage and maintain MySQL databases across different environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
• Create and manage replication, clustering, and failover solutions for ensuring continuous database availability.
• Perform regular backups and ensure data restoration processes are well-defined and thoroughly tested.
• Design and implement complex stored procedures to enhance database efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimizations.
• Diagnose and resolve issues promptly, perform routine maintenance tasks, and stay current with patches and updates

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience as a MySQL Database Administrator or in a similar role
• Strong proficiency in MySQL 8.0.
• Strong understanding of database management and optimization principles.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Linux, container technologies (LXC, Docker) or Python
• Bonus: Development skills related to database operations on frontend and backend
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to effectively communicate and cooperate with peers
• Fluent written and spoken English, German fluency is a plus
