We're looking for an entry level software developer to join us in developing our own software products.

CAKE.com is a unicorn product-based company with a global presence in North America (USA), Europe (primarily in Serbia), and Asia (Philippines).
We build products that powers millions worldwide, including:
- Clockify – The world’s #1 time tracker, trusted by companies like Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, American Express, Amazon and many more.
- Pumble – The all-in-one team communication app.
- Plaky – A task management software for simple & visual project planning.
What you'll do
- Implement internal tooling and integrations based on team requirements and specification.
- Write web and command-line applications, and maintain their CI/CD processes.
- Maintain high-level project quality via code reviews, discussions, and automated testing.
- Communicate your progress with the team, and participate in internal processes and procedures.
Must-haves
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- GPA above 9.5.
- Academic-level experience with Java, web development, databases, HTML/CSS, and HTTP/REST.
- Ability to work in CET timezone (9:00-17:00 UTC+1).
- Fluent in Ex-Yu languages (Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin).
- Occasional visit to the office in Belgrade or Novi Sad.
Nice-to-haves
- Practical experience with Java, Gradle, Spring, REST APIs, agile methodologies.
- Basic proficiency with writing markup (HTML & CSS).
- Working knowledge of scripting languages (like Python and JavaScript).
- Experience with command-line usage.
- Working knowledge of networking, system operation tools, and databases.

Mali broj dana odmora i vrlo niska plata. Osecaj za development kao da se radi u rudniku. Agresivni "productivity" softver koji te stalno prati i snima. Nemogucnost napredovanja i vrlo kratki rokovi do kojih dolazi visi menadzment i ako se ne uspe da se odradi sve do tad daju se otkazi. Pretnje tuzbom ako neko hoce da ostavi losu recenziju firme. Cini mi se da na ovom sajtu HR ili neko drugi pokusava da spamuje dobre ocene da bi sakrili lose, nijedna kompanija koja koristi "productivity monitoring" ne moze objektivno da ima ocenu preko 1 ili 2. Koga interesuje vise nek slobodno pregleda ranije ocene koje imaju veliki broj glasova.
