DevOps Engineer

We're Looking for a DevOps Engineer Who Owns the Stack.

Infrastructure isn't just plumbing — it's the foundation everything else is built on. We're looking for a DevOps Engineer who takes pride in building systems that are secure, reliable, and a pleasure for developers to work with.

Your Mission

You'll take ownership of our AWS-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security posture — working closely with development teams to make shipping software fast, safe, and repeatable. You're past the stage of following runbooks. You're ready to write them.

What You'll Be Doing

AWS Infrastructure You'll design, provision, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on AWS — thinking in terms of scalability, cost efficiency, and resilience. From EC2 and ECS to IAM, VPCs, and beyond, you know your way around the console and the CLI equally well.

Containerization Docker is your default. You'll manage containerized workloads, write clean Dockerfiles, optimize image builds, and ensure containers run consistently across environments — from local dev to production.

CI/CD Pipelines You'll build and maintain GitHub Actions workflows that make deployment boring in the best possible way — automated, predictable, and fast. You'll own the full pipeline from commit to production, including staging environments, rollback strategies, and deployment gates.

Security & Compliance Security isn't an afterthought here. You'll enforce least-privilege IAM policies, manage secrets properly, monitor for vulnerabilities, and ensure our infrastructure meets security best practices. You'll work with the team to embed security into the pipeline, not bolt it on at the end.

Administration & Reliability You'll handle the day-to-day: monitoring, alerting, incident response, access management, and keeping environments healthy. You document what you build and automate what you repeat.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of hands-on DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience
• Strong AWS knowledge — comfortable across core services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, Route53, and more)
• Solid Docker skills — image optimization, multi-stage builds, container orchestration
• Proven experience building and maintaining GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines
• Good understanding of infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• A security-first mindset — experience with IAM hardening, secrets management (e.g. AWS Secrets Manager, SSM Parameter Store), and vulnerability scanning
• Comfort with scripting (Bash, Python, or similar) to automate operational tasks
• Strong documentation habits and clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ownership mentality — you don't wait to be asked to fix something that's broken

Bonus Points

• Experience with container orchestration (ECS Fargate or EKS)
• Familiarity with AWS security tooling (GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config)
• Experience with observability stacks (Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
• Exposure to SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliance processes

Budget

We did not define a budget for this position at the outset, as we believe that each candidate brings unique skills and contributions to our team. The budget will be discussed based on the candidate’s experience and expertise, with the goal of reaching a mutually agreeable solution.
