The Business Analysis and Quality Assurance team, within Technology & Information Division, provides active support on projects delivering digital products for ICRC staff and external partners. Each staff can be assigned up to three different projects at a time, depending on the size and maturity of the projects. The BA&QA Team (Business Analysis and Quality Assurance) covers the two following practices:
- Business analysis on data-related projects (e.g. Master Data Management, Business Intelligence): interface between business and technical teams, in order to ensure to get the right IT solution is delivered. The Business analyst works as a change enabler, acting as an interface, translator, and facilitator between the business and the technical teams.
- Quality Assurance: software test management, in order to ensure that the IT solution is delivered as expected.
The Belgrade Shared Services Center (BSSC) is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the following position:
Business Analyst
(Location: Belgrade)
MAIN TASKS
- Performs business analysis activities on all phases of the projects: early pre-project / ideation, feasibility studies, project delivery, and deployment:
- Interview and workshop facilitations, remotely and/or onsite
- Business process and data modeling (as-is and to-be)
- Business needs gathering
- IT Solutions specification, functional and non-functional requirements
- Active participation in IT Solution design with solution and data architects
- Active participation in functional testing and user acceptance testing
- Acts as a liaison between business and technical teams.
- Actively participates in outlining best practices in terms of performing business analysis on data-oriented projects.
- Actively participates in the improvement of the practices of the team in terms of performing testing and quality assurance.
- Actively participates in the modeling of business processes and capabilities of the assigned business department.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- University degree in IT, science, engineering, or business administration along with 2 to 5 years of experience as a Business analyst or in a role with Business analyst activities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Good general knowledge of both worlds: Technology & Business.
- Capacity to quickly understand multiple new concepts in parallel and identify impacts on the existing Information System.
- Proven capacity to work in an international environment and multi-location teams.
- Adept at collecting, synthesizing, interpreting, and summarizing data.
- Ability to work autonomously, while also being a strong team player and accustomed to driving change forward.
- Sense of initiative and ability to critically examine issues and find constructive solutions.
- Proactive and results-oriented; strong ability to prioritize.
- Experience and intermediate Excel skills (advanced functions, pivot tables, graphs, VLOOKUP, etc).
- Experience with other Office tools: PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, Outlook, etc.
ASSETS
- Knowledge of data management lifecycle (defining data strategy, data governance, acquisition, analytics, reporting, etc).
- Business analysis certification (e.g. CCBA, CBAP), Agile certifications (e.g. PSPO), test management certification (e.g. ISTQB), or other suitable professional certification.
- Experience in SQL language along with a knowledge of data reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience in projects like MDM (Master Data Management) or BI (Business Intelligence).
- Experience in Agile methodologies as well as experience on MS TFS or AzureDevops.
- Experience in BPM (Business Process Management) for modeling, improvement, and support to the specification of solutions as well as experience in Business Process Modelling BPMN 2.0.
- Experience in consulting roles and/or Enterprise architecture.
- Experience with MS Visio or enterprise architecture tools (e.g. Bizzdesign, Erwin).
- Other language knowledge such as French, Spanish or Arabic.
