What's the opportunity? 

We're on the hunt for an enthusiastic Application Support Engineer to join our team! You'll collaborate with multiple teams to enhance and support our high availability, low latency, and scalable systems. 

In this role, you'll be the hero who quickly and efficiently resolves incidents that disrupt our application services. We love fresh ideas and encourage brainstorming to solve technical issues. If you enjoy tackling complex problems, crave new challenges, and have a curious mind while adrenaline drives you to dig deeper, rather than shy away, we want to meet you!  

Just a heads-up, this isn't “I-want-to-become-a developer” position, we need you to be super passionate about high-level support, but you'll be working closely with developers, helping them fix issues and make sure everything's smooth. Think of it like this: when they go forward, your job is to dig backward and investigate errors. 

All experience levels are welcome – juniors, mids, and seniors. 

Your main tasks:

  • Customer-focused Support: Deliver top-notch, second-line support service. 
  • On-call support: Provide support outside of regular hours based on a schedule. 
  • Own it: Take charge of and resolve issues reported against applications/systems. 
  • Analyze & improve: Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents, suggest improvements, and share best practices. 
  • Document everything: Keep track of incidents, solutions, and potential system improvements. 
  • Stay in touch: Communicate daily with clients. 
  • System checks: Perform daily checks to ensure everything runs smoothly. 
  • Team up: Work closely with other support levels and developers. 

What we’re looking for:

  • SQL Skills: At least 1 year of experience. 
  • Basic OS Knowledge: Familiar with Windows and Linux. 
  • Scripting Know-How: Basic knowledge of scripting languages. 
  • English Proficiency: Fluent in both written and spoken English. 
  • Problem-Solver: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Multi-Tasker: Able to switch priorities easily. 

Bonus points for:

  • Education: A degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or Technology. 
  • Relevant experience: Previous work in a related field, especially supporting high transaction systems. 
  • PL/SQL knowledge: Familiarity with PL/SQL. 
  • Networking skills: Understanding of firewalls, DNS, NAT, etc. 
  • AWS experience: Familiarity with AWS.

Cesto skrti na parama, povisicu daju tek kad vide da se kofer pakuje za dalje. Veoma kompleksan sistem kom treba prici iz vise uglova koji se cesto menja. Sanse su male, al uvek postoje da se desi abnormalna kolicina posla u jednom momentu pa se teze snaci narucito ako je deo tima negde off work.
