The Business Development Specialist position is very valuable to our prospects and customers to create new business and further develop opportunities through deal qualification and opportunity nurturing in the early sales cycle. The BDS uncovers new business opportunities by identifying cross and upselling opportunities in close collaboration with CX Sales Executives, managing and executing follow-up activities (e.g. outbound initiatives) and working closely with marketing on inbound activities.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Responsibility for the growth:
- Qualify, nurture and develop opportunities for sales
- Create, build and qualify pipeline for assigned accounts in direct collaboration with the customer and CX Account Executive
- Interact actively with prospects and customers to identify prioritized customer needs
- Drive proactive outbound call activities into net new contacts
- Identify white spots by customer/industry analysis
- Execute and manage follow-up activities to position the adequate CX solution
- Define coverage strategy and an action plan in alignment with the account team
- Hand over qualified opportunities to the CX Account Executive
- Provide pipeline forecast and ensure forecast and pipeline accuracy
- Establish trusted advisor relationships across lines of business that will provide ongoing, accurate account information and future opportunities
- Conduct high-level conversations with C-Levels
- Achieve a monthly pipeline quota

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or IT-related discipline
- Proven (Inside) Sales or Business Development ability and drive
- Ability to work independently with a strong drive for results
- Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the Commerce / CRM market
- Strong facility with teamwork and an ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Ability to serve as a trusted advisor to customers
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with emphasis on phone, email, and online communications
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, commitment and professionalism
- Ability to understand customer needs
- Fluent English
- Fluent Croatian, Slovenian, Serbian
