Role Responsibilities:
As a QA Engineer, it will be responsible for quality assurance testing on drug discovery software projects, documenting and reporting on findings and system defects, while adhering to team deadlines and assigned deliverables. You will also be responsible for acting as a system and application expert, driving standard adherence, and recommending process improvements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Overall IT industry experience of 3-7 years
- Work collaboratively with the QA team to create and update test cases to ensure accurate and productive test execution.
- Provide technical assistance in methodologies, processes, tools, and techniques within the team and across the Development and System Analyst teams
- Prepare status updates for individual project components, document, and report systems defects (including defect summary, steps to recreate, system configuration, environment setup, expected, and actual result).
- Create and maintain test data for test execution scenarios, ensure data setups are accurate and appropriately stored in test database.
- Analyse formal test results to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
- Recommend and/or implement process improvement ideas, providing path for implementation.
Expert in the following:
- Manage individual project and component QA deliverables and assignments on schedule and within defined test cycles, ensuring test design and defect documentation adhere to QA standards.
- Work collaboratively with the QA team to create and update test cases to ensure accurate and productive test execution.
- Provide technical assistance in methodologies, processes, tools, and techniques within the team and across the Development and System Analyst teams
- Prepare status updates for individual project components, document, and report systems defects (including defect summary, steps to recreate, system configuration, environment setup, expected, and actual result).
- Create and maintain test data for test execution scenarios, ensure data setups are accurate and appropriately stored in test database.
- Analyse formal test results to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
Have experience in:
- Agile/Scrum Software development methodologies
- Testing tools: HP ALM, JIRA, JMeter.
- Using Postman for direct REST service requests
- Creating test scenarios using BDD using Gherkin/Cucumber
Nice to have:
- Experience in test automation using python or java and Cucumber based frameworks
- Oracle or SQL knowledge for database query execution
- Working with continuous integration environments
- Configuration Management tools: Jenkins/Hudson, Maven/Gradle experience
- Test report tools: Allure, Cucumber reports
- Version Control: Git or Bitbucket
