Position Summary:
The System Administrator will assist in the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our company's IT systems and networks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential duties of the position include the following, and other duties may be assigned:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software components.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the availability and reliability of IT resources.
- Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Assist in user account management, including account creation, modification, and deletion.
- Perform routine backups and data recovery operations.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and IT inventory.
- Collaborate with the IT team to plan and execute system upgrades and maintenance.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Assist in ensuring system security and implementing cybersecurity measures.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to IT emergencies as needed.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred but not required). 2-5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols. Basic understanding of virtualization technologies. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and multitask effectively. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical users. Able to understand and interpret technical documents and effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Strong basic math skills, including the ability to work with data, metrics, and performance calculations. Familiarity with mathematical concepts related to network configuration, system performance metrics, and storage management.
