What you’ll do:
You will lead a Software Quality Test department of several QA teams in our organization, supporting processes, leading other QA managers, communicating to stakeholders internally and externally and reporting to Studio Director.
You are responsible to monitor, coach, mentor, track, support and setup your QA teams so they can deliver low defect rates, support the projects (budget, resources, timelines), document, continually improve, initiate process changes, attend status meetings, report in written and verbal form, efficiently realize entire testing efforts across all your QA departments and at the same time be fulfilled and happy professionals that are proud of the work they do.
You will manage software quality assurance activities of your department to support defect-free IGT products.
You will work with 3rd party QA outsourcing companies to expand your resource pool.
You are responsible to setup, improve and monitor a process of specifications review , assist in the design and enhancement of test cases, ensure proper documentation of defects, develop testing time estimates and help to improve test design.
Lead cross-studio efforts and discuss with other leaders to improve your department quality.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to increase efficiencies.
Develop and enforce new quality processes to ensure superior test coverage.
Develop, seek and track QA performance metrics for analyzing productivity and product quality
Communicate quality issues as well as standards and requirements.
Participates in establishing resource requirements, budgets, schedules and performance standards for the team managed.
Hire top talent to build a highly energetic and engaging QA team.
Participates in the development, training and support of QA team.
Conduct regular performance reviews, set annual performance goals, recommend compensation adjustments and awards for personnel managed.
Motivate employees in a high-pressure environment with rapidly changing priorities.
Drive results though creating a "sense of urgency" in meeting customer requirements.
Create a sense of a team via team buildings, constant communication with your departments and team members, create workshops for team improvements, provide Surveys to test your teams quality, create comradery and provide a pulse check to assist with work and people issue. Your goal is to retain!
Bachelor's of Science degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or computer engineering required. Master’s or PhD degree a plus.
3-5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance leadership position, including experience in leading QA departments, experience in test plan development, test design, test tools, software testing, and a broad knowledge of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
3+ years of supervisory, project or team lead experience.
Must have excellent leadership skills, be self-motivated, be proactive and ability to lead other leaders and managers (GO-TO attitude).
Ability to multi-task and quickly shift priorities as dictated by changing business needs.
Candidate should have a proactive mentality whereby an issue is noticed and already a plan of how to address or fix a problem is in place.
Must have excellent English verbal, listening, and written communication skills as we work in Global environment with Austria, UK, Canada and United Stated.
Good Windows / MS Office application skills Solid technical English.
Nice to have:
Experience in working or living abroad (US, UK, Western Europe etc) with native English fluency that will help this position make a leadership impact in our global company.
Experience in software methodologies like Agile (Scrum and/or Kanban), Waterfall etc.
Understand and affinity to play casino games.
The way we work:
The Software Quality Test Department Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the entire QA test team and all departments, numbering around 30 people today and growing.
Building and training the department will be crucial to the long-term success.
Quality is built into our game development process and the QA team will be involved from the kickoff of each project.
The QA team is integrated into the larger studio organization, numbering 120+ people total, and collaboration and communication with the entire studio occurs on a daily basis to ensure alignment. You will be closely cooperating with Game developers, Game designers, Graphic artists, Mathematicians in a good working atmosphere.
