About us

DevDepot is a Belgrade-based software company building for Nordic customers, and we're now growing our core engineering team here.
We are developing an integrated system for managing healthcare staffing in Sweden, used daily by our Swedish customer.
We also develop and implement our own AI-focused business automation platform.

We're hiring Software Developers to build and ship across both: web applications, APIs, integrations with the customer's business systems, and AI features. You'll work closely with the solution architect, the delivery manager and QA, with one goal: rapid delivery of quality software that keeps our customers happy.

Our code is about 90% TypeScript and 10% Python, on React / Next.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker and Azure. We write a lot of end-to-end tests and grow the system step by step, using AI coding tools every day.

We are rebuilding the engineering organization from the ground up. As the number of customers and workstreams grows, so does the room to take on ownership and lead.

What you will do

Deliver features end to end: understand the need, build, cover with e2e tests, ship, and follow up in production
Build and maintain web applications and APIs for the Swedish customer and for our own product
Design and build integrations with third-party and customer systems (ERP, CRM, support tools, data sources)
Build AI features: LLM-powered workflows, agents, MCP servers and tools
Work directly with client representatives when needed to clarify requirements and solve problems
Help improve how the team builds with AI tools

What we expect

Understanding the requirements and thinking in terms of the customer's business, not just the ticket
3+ years of professional software development
Strong TypeScript
Good understanding of relational databases: data modelling, SQL, performance
Hands-on experience with cloud environments (Azure is a plus)
Hands-on experience building with AI tools and LLMs, and an insatiable desire to automate as much as possible
Ability to own a problem and deliver without being micromanaged
Being comfortable working with Nordic customers: direct communication, clear expectations, steady pace
Good written and spoken English
Nice to have: experience with ERP / CRM or other data-heavy business systems; building MCP servers or agent-based systems

How we hire

One 1.5-hour video call, in two parts:

20–30 minutes: your experience, what you're looking for, what we expect, and how we work
About 1 hour: live coding. You implement a small feature in a demo project, using your own setup and any tools you like, AI included. We care about how you clarify the requirements, structure the work and test it, not about a perfect result. The demo project will be sent 1 days before.

What we offer

€14–18 per hour, invoiced bi-weekly, depending on experience
