Senior Software Engineer - Embotech Team

Our partner Embotech is a Zurich-based software company striving to develop cutting edge autonomous driving technology for autonomous vehicles, with focus on private ground applications such as logistics, Autonomous Valet Parking (AVP) and mining with determination to accelerate the transition towards safe autonomous transportation by leveraging the core real-time optimization technology. Among their customers and partners, you will find companies like BMW Group and ZF Group.

PRODRIVER is Embotech’s solution to the problem of motion planning for autonomous or highly-automated vehicles that will empower autonomous systems to make better decisions.

Together with our partner we are making a team and looking for a Senior Software Engineer

To join our interdisciplinary team and help extend and maintain cutting-edge IT infrastructure for software development and deployment.

As a senior software engineer you are a part of the software team and contribute to key software architecture decisions and development tasks.

Your responsibilities:

• Design software architecture; create novel designs to integrate our core motion planning algorithms into distributed real-time systems
• Develop and document software in C and C++ for automated driving projects
• Implement and maintain all the functionality necessary to successfully deploy and run our motion planning algorithms on various systems
• Close collaboration with product owners and other team members (agile methodology)
• Take the role of a mentor for junior engineers, Perform reviews of requirements, test specifications and source code
• Establish state-of-the-art development practices
• Ensure the software meets high demands towards functional safety, performance and reliability

Your profile:

• Master degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar field
• 5+ years’ experience in development of software in C and modern C++
• Experience in distributed real-time systems
• Experience in software design and requirements management
• Analytical skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to new tasks, problems and environments
• Self-organized, solution-oriented, communicative team player with initiative
• Very good oral and written language skills in English
• Experience in other development languages such as Python or Rust is a plus
