About the project:
Oncology Information System Is a classic information system that includes patient information, scheduling and billing of treatment plans and sessions. Its web user interface is implemented in Javascript/React, and its backend in Java with several frameworks.
It is implemented as a set of micro-services in Java 8, connected with ZeroMQ, and a configurable state machine in Scala.
What you will do:
In this role you will help to decide and drive decisions on things like authentication, database design, and the API. The ideal candidate is comfortable touching various parts of a distributed system, as well as having intuition and strong opinions on how to design and improve relationships between systems and technology.
What we expect from you:
- Strong knowledge of Java (Java 8/11 experience)
- Knowledge of Hibernate and relational databases (production PostgreSQL is a plus)
- Unit test framework
- Java proficiency and production experience
- Linux / *nix user experience
- Familiarity with source control (Git), CI/CD, code analysis, and other modern programming practices
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Experience in concurrent and distributed systems
- SQL and information systems experience.
