About the Codebase & Engineering Culture

Engineers thrive when they can focus. With us, you will work on a single product—no agency-style codebase hopping. Our tech stack is modern, structured, and developer-friendly:

• Backend: Ruby on Rails (RoR)
• Frontend: React with TypeScript
• Infrastructure: Everything runs in AWS, fully containerized
• DevOps: Automated CI/CD pipelines
• Quality: Decent test coverage currently sitting at ~55% (and we’d love your help to improve it!)

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Senior Full Stack Developer to takeownership of major technical initiatives. You will be working independently for the most part, checking in via weekly sync meetings, which means you get the deep, uninterrupted focus time you need to build great software.

Your Responsibilities:

• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable backend and frontend code.
• Draft system design documents and architecture plans for new features.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for complex bugs.
• Conduct code reviews, uphold engineering standards, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

Experience & Education:

• A Graduate degree in Computer Science with 5+ years of software development experience, OR
• A Graduate degree in another STEM field with 10+ years of software development experience.

Technical Skills:

• 3+ years of professional experience with Ruby OR Python. (Note: Our backend is RoR, but we welcome Python experts willing to adapt!).
• 3+ years of professional experience with React (JavaScript or TypeScript).
• Comfortable with basic AWS concepts, operations, and containerized deployments.

Soft Skills & Work Style:

• Highly comfortable working independently and asynchronously, with minimal micromanagement (weekly syncs).
• Fluent in written and spoken English. Professional fluency is a must!

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 USD gross annually.
• Time Off: 3 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO).
