Senior Embedded Engineer - AI Execution & Optimization

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer, specializing in hardware acceleration for AI applications. You will be responsible for developing robust software solutions for AI hardware accelerators on advanced automotive SoCs, contributing directly to cutting-edge automotive technologies. The place of work will be our offices in Belgrade or Novi Sad.

Job responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing performance measurement systems for hardware AI accelerators on modern automotive SoCs
• Evaluating AI accelerator resource usage during inference across various AI models, operating environments, and real-time constraints.
• Developing and implementing schedulers and load balancers for hardware AI accelerators, orchestrating concurrent soft real-time inference across multiple models.
• Engaging in technical discussions with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define system/software requirements, architecture, and technical strategy.
• Aligning hardware resources, technical requirements, and business objectives to create optimized and effective technical solutions.

Required skills and experience:

• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in real-time embedded systems and software engineering.
• Proficiency and hands-on experience with C++ programming, specifically for embedded system development.
• Strong understanding of machine learning models and their execution/inference on specialized hardware accelerators.
• Solid expertise in execution scheduling and load-balancing systems and algorithms.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and technical writing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in multidisciplinary environments and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have:

• Experience in developing embedded software compliant with recognized engineering standards (e.g., IEEE 12207, ASPICE/VDA QMC).
• Prior experience working with Qualcomm automotive SoCs.
• Familiarity with automotive industry-specific standards and safety considerations.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Experience working with Qualcomm SoCs.
