Senior Cyber Governance, Risk and Assurance Specialist

To help us on this journey we are looking for Cyber Governance, Risk and Assurance Specialist, who will be responsible for assessing and bridging two complex technology environments: the BASIQ cloud environment and Cuscal’s enterprise on-premise environment, which comprises multiple platforms, tools, and legacy technologies.

This role requires deep AWS expertise, strong technical acumen, the ability to navigate complexity, and a high degree of independence.

The role will also actively drive risk and compliance activities, ensuring integration outcomes align with regulatory, security, and organizational requirements.

Key skills:

• Leverage strong technical knowledge to evaluate, design, and influence the use of cloud, security, and engineering tools
• Demonstrated experience working with hybrid environments (cloud and on-prem)
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud environments
• Proven ability to assess current-state environments and develop clear, practical integration strategies and roadmaps
• Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and technical constraints impacting integration and transformation activities
• Support compliance activities across cloud environments, including regulatory, industry, and internal policy obligations
• Assess cloud controls and configurations against relevant standards and frameworks (e.g. SOC2, ASAE3150)
• Partner with Cyber, Risk, Audit, and Assurance teams to support assessments, evidence gathering, and remediation planning
• Operate independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of outcomes from end to end
• Engage effectively with internal teams and external partners to drive alignment and outcomes
• Work within and actively promote the core vision, corporate strategies, values, policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct of Cuscal
• Analytical and strategic thinker with strong problem solving capability

Desirable Skills:

• Experience within financial services, payments, or other highly regulated industries
• Familiarity with security, risk, or governance frameworks as they apply to cloud and hybrid environments
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or platform integrations
