Senior Backend Engineer - Ryd Team

Our partner Ryd is a fast-growing FinTech start-up from Munich founded in 2014. Ryd is developing Ryd Pay, which is the largest cross-brand solution for mobile payment directly at the gas pump that challenges established behaviour and uses cutting edge technology to revolutionize the payment process at the gas station.

Being recognized and financially backed by three internationally active global companies from the automotive engineering, payment services and insurance sectors, Ryd is literally getting the digital future on the road, currently being available in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal and planning European roll-out.

Together with our partner we're looking for a: Senior Backend Engineer  who will join our Ryd team and help them shape the future of connected cars and contactless payments.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize secure, scalable and maintainable database designs for use on major database engines
• Building high performance, highly scalable solutions
• Challenge the current technology stack
• Work on containerized event-driven microservices

Your profile:

• Experience in writing backend applications in Node.js, TypeScript and Nest.js
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience in MongoDB, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL
• Expertise working with message brokers such as RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka
• An open mind willing to try out new ideas who can work independently to achieve results and at the same time build on the expert knowledge of the Ryd team.
• Good communication skills in English
