Position Overview
The Reporting & Data Analytics specialist will be responsible for the conversion of data into insights that will eventually lead to informed business decisions. This will involve understanding end-to-end business processes, solving hard analytical problems for the business, defining analytical approaches, exploring solutions to particular problems, translating that into insights and communicating them to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and visual fashion. In this role, the Reporting and Data Analytics specialist will also be responsible for the clear definition of detailed requirements, as well as the identification, extraction and storage of relevant source data to conduct such analyses. This will require working with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that reporting is meeting their needs and changing the analyses as required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop clear and well-structured analytical project plans to analyze large data-sets across different business processes;
- Identify, communicate, and endeavor to resolve data gaps that impact the fulfillment of the business’s functional requirements;
- Develop logical and conceptual data flows that are in support of project requirements and guides various business departments in appropriate and effective use of data;
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships within IT and Global Process Owners to ensure all requirements are met for a successful project deployment and in alignment of the overall strategy. Includes ability to handle stress and to interact with others so as to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts;
- Conduct high quality analysis using Data Analytics tools and techniques for all functions of the business to track the business’s performance at different fronts;
- Validate, interpret, and create reports and presentations for senior management, departmental heads/management, and relevant stakeholders;
- Create new data-driven approaches for the purpose of generating business insights through data analytics, information visualization, and addressing unanswered business issues in a proactive manner;
- Remain up to date on new technology trends, opportunities as well as industry benchmarks in order to identify and implement best practices.
- Identify opportunities for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and support RPA team with process documentation/assessment if needed.
Experience required:
- Job related experience for 5+ year(s) minimum
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
- Experience solving complex business issues through data-related tools;
- Working knowledge on the following areas of ERPs (e.g. SAP, JDE);
- Programming languages (VBA, Python)
- Database manipulation (SQL), being able to draw complex queries that ultimately lead to improvements in business performance.
- Data visualizations tools such as QlikSense, Tableau or Power BI;
- Skilled in performing quantitative analyses on various business functions with a consistent awareness to accuracy and attention to detail;
- Financial business-acumen – P&L understanding;
- MS Office tools (Excel – PowerQuery/PowerPivot/Statistical Analysis, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in English;
- Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills
- Experience in working with cross functional teams in multiple countries;
- Comfortable leading with ambiguity and rapidly shifting business conditions.
