  • Identify, document, and help drive the resolution of software defects
  • Investigate issues and validate fixes using logs, monitoring, and error tracking tools (e.g. Datadog, Dash0, or similar)
  • Improve the reliability and maintainability of automated tests within our CI/CD pipelines
  • Contribute to QA best practices, engineering processes, and release quality
  • Advocate for quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle

What you'll bring?

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in technical education related to software engineering
  • 2+ professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation using Playwright (experience with Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks is also welcome)
  • Good proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript
  • Solid understanding of functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and API testing
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools such as ClickUp or Jira
  • Experience working with monitoring, logging, or error tracking tools
  • Understanding of Agile software development practices (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
  • Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a microservice-based architecture.
  • Familiarity with Go (Golang).
  • Experience with observability platforms (Dash0, Datadog) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • German language skills.

What we offer?

  • Real ownership & impact - shape quality across innovative products used in the real world.
  • Modern tech stack - work with modern tools including Go, React, Playwright, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Mentorship & growth - opportunities for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Strong engineering culture - a collaborative, international team that values clean code and continuous improvement.
  • Fair conditions - competitive compensation, location-specific benefits, and flexible working arrangements.
  • Shared passion - sports, technology, and building exceptional software.

Now only one thing is missing: your application! We are looking forward to reading your CV. We will contact only the shortlisted candidates. Let’s build the future of sports — and tell the world about it.

O Kompaniji

FFTEA is a software development company built around talented, ambitious, and passionate engineers. We create high-quality software solutions primarily for Sporting Rock, as well as for other innovative sports-focused startups whose mission is to make the world of sports better through technology.

The name FFTEA is an acronym for Foundation for Technology and Engineering, reflecting our commitment to strong technical foundations and thoughtful engineering.

Our goal is to build a team of outstanding engineers who grow with us and actively shape world-class sports applications products that leave a lasting impact on the sports industry.

We work in an agile environment, using modern tools, best practices, and up-to-date technologies. Our development team operates independently and flexibly, with a strong remote-friendly culture. Every team member has real influence on the final product, paired with a high level of responsibility, dedication, and professionalism.

With candidates, our aim to be efficient and respectful of candidates’ time, while still allowing enough space for meaningful conversations and a proper introduction on both sides.

1. Introductory Interview (HR)
The first step is an informal introductory conversation with our HR manager. The goal is to get to know you better: your motivation, ambitions, and professional background. It’s also an opportunity for us to introduce FFTEA, Sporting Rock, our culture, and the projects you’d be working on.

2. Technical Interview
In the second round, we dive deeper into your technical experience, discussing technologies, methodologies, and your preferred ways of working.

3. Technical Task (Live Coding)
The final step is a live coding session (1–2 hours), designed to assess practical problem-solving skills and technical knowledge.

Depending on the role and for efficiency, we may adjust the order, combine steps, or merge interviews when appropriate.
