Our User Experience (UX) business unit makes that drivers and passengers are optimally informed and can control functions in a user-friendly way. Developing solutions from instrument clusters, head-up displays and displays solutions, through to control panels, central input devices, and morphing controls, UX makes the processing and management of information easy, intuitive, and reliable.
JOB DESCRIPTION
With this role you will be part of PDC DS (Product Development Center Display Solution) in business unit UX (User Experience) and work in an international team being involved in a wide product range with different display sizes and different customers working with the latest technologies on the market. Also, you will have the chance for a career path as a specialist in integration of complex mechanical architectures or as an expert in display solution specific fields.
In your day to day job you will:
- Perform the optical characterization of the selected materials (ex: materials for lightguides, diffusers, foils, etc.)
- Perform the photometric measurements for displays, backlight units
- Support in the development of the new optical components (concepts)
- Perform optical simulation for the optical components
- Automotive LED selection and characterization
- Contribute to the specifications for components evaluations and tests
- Analyze and evaluate optical components robustness (resistance over temperature, aging…etc. and analyze the optical impact in the quality)
- Support for series production of displays
- Contribute to theoretical analysis (analyze the optical parameters of the optical concepts)
- Create optical measurements and optical simulations reports
- Contribute to the selection of the suppliers for the optical components
- Contribute to the selection of the suppliers for the optical simulation soft-wares as well as optical measurements instrumentation and data analysis specific soft-wares
- Collaborate with suppliers to reach and maintain the customers desired quality
- Support needed for extension of the optical laboratory (new instruments, etc.)
- Support in equipment selection and procurement
- Set and maintenance the optical equipment
- Participate in technical calculations and simulations (tolerances, FEA, thermal management, etc.)
- Organize and participate to component and system reviews
- Effort and cost tracking for the dedicated work packages
- Support new acquisitions
- Cooperate with international interdisciplinary teams
