Open Source Software Engineer – Apache Ozone Project

We are looking for a right person to work within open-source program office on upgrading Apache Ozone. We intend to help bring the Ozone project up to a production level of maturity.

• Snapshots
• Performance parity (and improvement!) with HDFS
• Advanced block placement
• Rebalancing data across nodes/disks
• Efficient cross-DC replication

REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for engineers who can help leading engineers on Open Source Ozone Project to make this technology even better. This means day-to day programming work on new features / improvements / bug resolving / proper documenting with a help and guidance from a lead engineers.

We require persons passionate to make something even better, while having history of building distributed systems (ideally HDFS and the surrounding ecosystem) is definitive plus; but, even without it, you are a good candidate if you have a good will and ability to dive into it.
