Syncit Group is looking for a Magento 2 Team Lead who will join our team either in Belgrade or in Niš. You will be in charge of a team that works for one of our exclusive clients, Fashion Company, a leading retail company, and you will be working with a very qualified and experienced pool of people. In order to understand clients’ business requirements, you will need to collaborate with Project Managers, Developers, and Business Development Executives.

How do we imagine the perfect candidate?
Responsibilities:
- The ability to work well both independently and as a lead to help mentor/train other application developers so that over time they improve their knowledge with the Magento platform;
- Works closely with members of Consulting, Sales, and Solutions Architecture teams;
- Can single-handedly manage proof-of-concepts or complex modules as well as successfully develop client roadmaps and solutions;
- Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code;
- Translates functional requirements from business users into sound technical/application designs that meet business objectives;
- Supports and develops software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities;
Works closely with Project Managers and developers to manage the project and ensure its smooth execution;
Mentors a team of junior developers;
- Client-facing communication and presentation skills are mandatory;
- Designs and develops integration interfaces between eCommerce engine and Payment Gateways, ERP/Warehouse management systems;
- Keeps up-to-date with industry trends and technology developments;
- Supports the pre-sales team and works on business proposals and project estimates;
- Encourages collaboration between internal cross-functional teams;
- Performs analysis and review of licensing/development estimates to provide the complete cost of delivering a solution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required (Magento Certification is desirable);
- 6+ years of continuous Magento 1 & 2 development experience;
- 2+ years of Architecture design, solutions, proof of concept & documentation;
- 2+ years of team leadership experience;
- Expert PHP/Object Oriented Programming skills;
- Successful track record of developing quality software products and shipping production-ready software;
- Excellent understanding of Web Services protocols such as REST, SOAP, and API design for extensibility and portability;
- Experience in debugging distributed systems with high data loads;
- Deep understanding of a distributed data model;
- Good understanding of the Software as a Service (SaaS) model in the online environment;
- Strong mentoring skills, ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience levels including strong communication and conflict resolution skills;
- Design, develop, and implement unit and scenario testing for existing code base and for new functionalities under development;
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies;
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask and meet deadlines;
- Passion for quality and engineering excellence at scale;
- Fast learner and eager to embrace new knowledge;
- Experienced in negotiation, vendor management, risk management, project financials, KPI & reporting;
- Progression skills in Quality Management are desirable;
- Researches and qualifies software solutions to be implemented on a project (e.g., extensions, third-party OMS systems, analytics engines, etc.) and provides software recommendations and estimates that meet project budgetary and functional requirements.
