Holycode/neon is searching for a highly skilled Lead Platform Engineer to join our growing team. neon is a young fintech start-up based in Zurich on the mission to disrupt the Swiss banking industry by offering innovative mobile banking services. A highly dedicated neon team consists of about 50 individuals who are ready to make an impact.

Your responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain the infrastructure of our application on GCP
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor and optimise application performance, leveraging our New Relic platform
- Ensure the security and availability of our systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and deploy new features
- Mentor engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team
Your profile:
- 5+ years of experience as a Platform / DevOps Engineer
- Degree in computer science or similar discipline
- Strong experience with GCP, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine and Cloud Storage
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash or Go
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes with Helm
- Hands-on experience in applying infrastructure as code (IaC) and deployment automation with tools such as Terraform, or a similar technology
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Proficiency in Linux administration, networking & security setup and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of security best practices in a cloud environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proactive team player with the ability to work independently and accurately in interdisciplinary projects
Nice to have:
- Hands on experience with modern microservice architecture
- Experience with KeyCloak, Message Queue or distributed technologies (Hadoop, etc.)
