About the role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Developer to join our team. As a Lead Developer, you will make an impact by being part of the technical decisions that guide the development of Roboten. You will collaborate closely with your talented development team and work hands-on with the team to create a stellar product you will use yourself.
You will be responsible for overseeing the development of our software products and ensuring that they are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. Our product is complex, and you will be facing exciting challenges daily.
You will be coding on a daily basis, implementing user stories that are more technically challenging along with your team. Sometimes you code unit tests. Other times you file on the development environment. In short, programming is an important part of your mission.
Besides the exciting challenges you will be working on daily, Roboten is a remote company , and you will never have to worry about going back to the office again.
Your missions
- Working with the product owner to ensure the epics are broken down into user stories
- Ensuring the team understands how the user stories should be implemented to fulfill technical requirements, underlying architecture, following best practices, and meeting deadlines
- Mentoring and guiding the development team, including reviewing code and providing feedback
- Initiate discussions about architecture, features, and design choices and actively participate in shaping our product
- Actively code with the team, taking part in achieving the set targets and meeting deadlines
- Collaborating with other team members to identify and implement new technologies and approaches that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the development process
- Ensuring that everyone works with the methods and tools established and that the team as a whole delivers good technical solutions.

To be successful in this role, you have
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects
- A good grasp of the common elements of a modern web development stack and hands-on experience in frontend, backend, or full-stack development.
- Deep knowledge and long experience with most of the technologies we use.
- Keeping up to date with technology developments, best practices, and methodologies in the software field is a natural part of your life.
- You always have end-users in mind, and you use that to guide your decisions.
