We are seeking a talented .NET Programmer for a traineeship with a possibility of a full-time position to join our Serbian operation. The successful candidate will work directly with technical and business users to implement and customize Softek’s software products. The candidate will use Softek’s programming APIs to develop client extensions to products such as data interfaces and bespoke credit policies and reports. They need to be experienced with object oriented programming as well as experienced with relational databases and SQL. The role also includes providing internal technical support to ensure the smooth operation of the Serbian office.
The position requires working directly with Softek’s developers in London, making communication and interpersonal skills essential. This is an exciting opportunity to work with and learn from senior and experienced financial and technology professionals in a collaborative, entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Program and script development (SQL) which includes data interfaces and bespoke reports
- Software implementations and upgrades
- Support for end users to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Configure and test software to meet client specifications
- Coordination with internal staff and clients to ensure on-time project deliveries
- Internal technical support and maintenanced to ensure smooth operation of the office
Skills and Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or other technical discipline (will consider final year students), preferably obtained at FON, ETF, MATF, RAF
- Knowledge of .NET and programming/scripting languages (C#, C, Python)
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Knowledge of finance and capital markets is optional but a plus
- Self-motivated and ability to work both independently and under direction
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel
- Sound knowledge and comprehension of English language (B2 and above)
