About the role
We are looking for an IT Superintendent to coordinate the provision of the complete range of IT services required by the Jadar project team. Ensures the optimization of IT operations and initiates, co-ordinates and implements appropriate action to ensure the on-going operation and maintenance of the IT services and timely resolution of faults.
First level manager of a small team of functional/operational professional employees. Accountable for the performance and results of that team. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from higher level.
You will be:
- Manages and provides functional direction to the relevant Site Support Team.
- Contributes to creation of strategy for cost effective operation, driving higher utilisation and application consolidation and optimization of costs of enterprise resources.
- Delivers on-going operations and maintenance of corporate solutions.
- Coordinates the use of internal technical support personnel and vendor support to provide higher levels of troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Identifies Continuous Improvement (efficiency and effectiveness) opportunities for support delivery and operations, based on feedback from team and observations of process and deliverables.
- Manages and develops professionals using a supportive collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; monitor performances, evaluate results, provide feedback and coaching; conduct regular performance reviews.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- A tertiary degree in IT
- A solid operational experience in IT services delivery
- Technical Experience with information technology infrastructure, focusing on the support of existing applications, network systems and personal computing and communicating equipment
- Bi-lingual capacity to support both Serbian resources and International stakeholders (English)
- Knowledge of our operating technologies: Microsoft, Cisco, Dell

The Jadar Project is a world-class lithium-borate deposit discovered by Rio Tinto in 2004. Jadar is a unique deposit near the town of Loznica, Serbia. It contains Jadarite - a new lithium sodium borosilicate mineral. Jadar is the only place in the world where this mineral can be found. Jadar has been ranked as one of the largest lithium deposits in the world with a potential to supply a significant amount of the global demand for lithium and boric acid. If developed, Jadar will be a modern underground mine with efficient processing and shipping facilities.
