Game Designer

Hey we’re looking for a Game Designer (Belgrade).

We’re a small indie studio in Belgrade, and we’re building an old-school first-person shooter fast, weighty gunplay, the kind of movement and punch you remember from the immersive sims of the late 90s/early 2000s, but rebuilt with a look that’s our own. There’s a real story underneath it too: a grim, dystopian sciencepunk world where the choices you make actually change how things play out.

It’s still unannounced, it’s aiming at AA scope, and we want an eager, capable Game Designer to actually design the thing. You’d be shaping systems that end up in players’ hands.

What you’d be doing

• Designing and prototyping the core gameplay;
• Working closely with our Creative Director and Writer on the branching, choice-driven stuff;
• Teaming up with the 3D, Environment, and Tech folks to get levels standing up;
• Living in UE5 greyboxing, building, iterating until it feels right.

What we’re hoping you bring

• A real want to learn and get better, and to take notes without taking them personally;
• Hands-on UE5 time (greyboxing and prototyping especially);
• A good feel for what makes shooters and story games click extra love if you’re into immersive sims;
• Some sense of how a game actually comes together start to finish;
• Nice to have, not required: something you’ve made a shipped game, a student project, a jam entry, anything that shows how your head works.
