Role: FlexRAN System Engineer & Benchmark
As a FlexRAN System Engineer & Benchmark you will lead verification and support benchmarking projects and/or First Office Application with Intel FlexRAN solutions.
You will analyze technical issues related to benchmarking and troubleshooting Intel CPU statistics and L1 RAN KPI with an E2E perspective/knowledge always present.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Benchmarking of servers using different CPU generations
- Verification of CPU system utilization, memory usage, L1 RAN KPIs
- Provide performance improvements over different CPU generations
- Create test specification and documentation
- Execute tests to validate energy saving features
- Investigation and resolution of lab E2E issues with simulated traffic
Required Education/Experience
To succeed, you will have an engaging and inquisitive personality and a natural technical proficiency for all things Telecom and IT related.
You will know that you are the type of person we are looking for if you have:
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline (Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications etc)
- Up to 5 years of RAN experience in mobile telecoms including 4G and 5G
- Good understanding of communications platforms with respect to software/hardware RAN architecture and networking protocols.
- Good understanding of RAN architecture, including Open RAN
- Experience in RAN (LTE/5G) including L1 integration with L2 layer
- Knowledge of Intel Platform Technologies such as FlexRAN, DPDK, QAT
- Experience with BIOS setting, low level programming and run time control tools
Additional Experience
Following experiences and skills will be considered as a plus:
- Experience with packet generation equipment such as IXIA, T-Rex, Spirent, etc
- Experience with development and debugging tools
- Exposure to configuration management tools such as Clearcase / Git
- Experience of development and testing in Unix/Linux environment
