Embedded System Engineer

About the role

If you’re interested in embedded systems and want to work on real products, not just parts of them, you might be a good fit for this role.

At PIERRE, we build our own smart home system, both hardware and software, and we’re looking for an engineer who can take an idea and turn it into a working device.

This is not a narrow firmware role.
This is about owning the product from concept to a stable, production ready system.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C and C++ for smart home devices
• Work on full product development, both hardware and software
• Take ownership of features and systems, not just tasks
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and coordinate development when needed
• Debug and test on real devices
• Ensure what you build is stable, usable, and ready for production

Requirements

• Strong C and C++ knowledge at embedded or system level
• Understanding of how hardware and software work together
• Basic knowledge of electronics and PCB design
• Experience working on real devices, including debugging, testing and integration
• Ability to take a feature or product and build it end to end
• Ability to coordinate with hardware engineers when needed
• Strong problem solving mindset and independence
