We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Polaris team in Belgrade. This is an amazing opportunity to help positively grow, support, and reshape our application functionally leveraging .NET and web application frameworks. The Development Operations Engineer is responsible for creating, maintaining, and continually enhancing tools for supporting and automating the development and deployment of Polaris software solution and representing and supporting those tools throughout the enterprise.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- 2+ years of experience with Windows Systems Administration in an operations or development operations environment.
- 2+ years with one or more programming languages such as C#, Java or Python in a fast paced, heterogeneous development context.
- 2+ years of experience running continuous integration tools like Azure DevOps
- 2+ years with scripting and/or development tools (PowerShell, C#).
It would be great if you also had . . .
- Experience of Windows based containers and container orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)
- Experience working within and dynamically scaling a cloud-based environment such as AWS.
- History of continually learning and adapting to the latest trends and technology
- Experience in applying different techniques, tools and approaches based on the situation
What will you be doing in this role?
- Work closely with operations and software engineering to design and implement solutions for efficient development, build and deployment in cloud and on-perm environments.
- Provide support for the tools and processes developed, including documentation and answering questions that may arise during use by others in the department.
- Keep abreast of changes occurring in the industry, in particular new approaches or enhancements to tools; be able to use written and verbal communication to describe the possible benefits of adoption or avoidance of a tool/approach.

We build the future of library services so that libraries can measurably streamline staff workflows, reduce systems overhead, and improve patron services. The team is currently working on enhancing our existing web application and migrating further functionality from our Windows application to the web. The applications and services we create, and support, enable our customers to provide a robust and scalable software solution with powerful staff tools and an intuitive experience for their patrons. We are focused to deliver innovative solutions for our library partners. We are applying our respective strengths for the whole team’s good; our philosophy is to take responsibility rather than assign it/having it assigned.
About the Team
We’re a 100% remote and geo-diverse team software engineers that work together with our product team and integration partners to design and develop and support our robust and growing data-driven software portfolio. The team consists of 10+ experts and now we are building a strong base in Belgrade, and we would like you to become our new colleague!

Hours of work:
Although duties are typically performed during normal business hours (CEST time zone), occasional off-hours work may be required to meet customer and/or business needs. This is a fulltime position.
This is a hybrid position, and you will be expected to work from the office on certain days.
