Database Administrator

Job Summary:

Masterwork Automodules is seeking a highly motivated Database Administrator to join our IT operations team. You will work closely with our development and infrastructure teams to manage, optimize, and secure the database systems that power our cash depositing, cash recycling, and cash-handling automation solutions. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring high performance, availability, and data integrity across our SQL Server environments.

Key Qualifications:

We are looking for software engineers with 5+ years of working experience in following areas:

·       Microsoft SQL Server Administration: Installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning.

·       High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Experience with Always On Availability Groups, clustering, and backup/restore strategies.

·       Database Security: Implementing and managing security policies, auditing, and compliance measures.

·       Performance Monitoring & Tuning: Proficiency in using tools and techniques to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

·       Scripting and Automation: Strong skills in PowerShell or T-SQL for automating routine database tasks.

·       Troubleshooting: Excellent diagnostic skills to resolve complex database issues.

Responsibilities:

As our Database Administrator, you will be expected to:

·       Manage and Maintain Database Systems: Oversee daily operations of SQL Server environments, including installation, configuration, and patching.

·       Optimize Performance: Monitor and fine-tune databases to ensure optimal performance and efficient resource usage.

·       Implement High Availability Solutions: Design and maintain high availability and disaster recovery configurations.

·       Ensure Data Security and Integrity: Enforce robust security measures and backup strategies to safeguard critical data.

·       Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to support and enhance our data-driven applications.

·       Document Processes: Create and maintain documentation for database processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
