Database Administrator (DBA)

Description

You will be part of the DBA team who are responsible for the technical management and administration of our various MSSQL databases what are serving our production transaction processing systems and back-office applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Understand the business, technical and operational requirements of the supported databases
• Install and upgrade database servers and related application tools, allocate system storage and plan future storage requirements
• Modify Database structure, maintain system security and ensure compliance, Database user and permission management and review
• Performance monitoring and optimization, backup and restore data and recovery planning
• Participate and drive database enhancement and new development project
• Provide Database Administration 2nd Level support and on demand on-call support
• Work with internal department and with external partners and providers

Requirements

• Written and spoken English knowledge
• University or College degree in IT or equivalent work experience
• 3 years of experience as DB Administrator on MSSQL Server (2012 and later)
• Experience in troubleshooting database issues, knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, clustering
• Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention
• Work accurately and independently, structured and critical thinking, strong analytical skills
