They are looking for a Data Scientist to join their team. You would be among first 50 employees, partnering up with leading industry experts to shape the first Serbian unicorn!

About the role

You will work as a part of an international top-notch team on the toughest mathematical problems with real impact. Their main goal is to be the future of the financial industry so they are doing their best to stay ahead of the curve.

Flexible working hours and working space - but the team is always one Whatsapp/one Slack away. The team has flat hierarchies, so good ideas are always implemented. They have tenured talent in their company who will help you to communicate clearly so you are heard.

Responsibilities

• Prepare data with pandas or more advanced libraries (data.table/ polars)
• Make visualizations and reports with plotly/seaborn/ggplot
• Use sklearn/caret to train xgboost with specific distributions on real-life problems from sales, to pricing to claim handling/work on non-linear optimization problems to bring multiple models together/or decide to retrain their LLM agent Luca who can already perform tasks and make their customers happy
• Make the code reproducible with pipelines and software engineering techniques (which they are happy to teach you) and deploy and test in the real environment together with a stellar IT team using dockers/their endpoints

The successful candidate

• Recent graduate or final-year student pursuing a degree in Mathematics or a related field
• Excellent academic record with high grades in relevant coursework
• Experience with R and Python, and statistical modeling
• Involvement in projects, demonstrating practical application of skills
• Active participation in extracurricular activities, such as hackathons, competitions, or relevant clubs is preferable
• Achievements such as medals, awards, or recognition in academic or extracurricular fields are preferable
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
