About the Role

At Vox Code, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer to join our growing team.

You will work with large and complex datasets, transform raw data into meaningful business insights, and develop scalable data models, reports, and dashboards that help our clients make informed decisions.

This role combines data analysis, business intelligence, and analytics engineering, offering an opportunity to work with modern data technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Tableau, and Databricks, while collaborating closely with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders on international projects.

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with analytical thinking, enjoys solving complex data challenges, and takes ownership of delivering reliable, high-quality analytical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business opportunities.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Design and maintain analytical data models that support reporting, business intelligence, and advanced analytics.
• Collaborate with clients and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into scalable analytical solutions.
• Prepare ad-hoc analyses and reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and reliability across datasets, data models, and reports.
• Work closely with data engineers to develop and improve data pipelines, transformation processes, and data warehouse structures.
• Participate in the development of modern cloud-based analytics solutions using Databricks and related technologies.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting, optimize data transformations, and improve analytical workflows.
• Present findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in data analysis, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or a related role.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with at least one BI or data visualization tool, preferably Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience designing and working with analytical data models, relational databases, and data warehouse structures.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data transformation processes.
• Proven ability to work with large datasets, investigate data quality issues, and deliver accurate analytical results.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical and analytical solutions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain complex findings to business stakeholders.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Databricks, including notebooks, Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, or Lakehouse architecture.
• Experience with Python, particularly Pandas or PySpark, for data manipulation and transformation.
• Knowledge of modern analytics engineering practices, including modular SQL transformations, testing, documentation, and version control.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and the Microsoft BI ecosystem (SSIS, SSAS, Power BI).
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Snowflake.
• Experience with dimensional data modeling, star schemas, and OLAP concepts.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of statistical methods and advanced data analysis techniques.
• Experience working directly with international clients or cross-functional teams.
