Who are we looking for?
D365 F&O “environment management” activities are undertaken by a small team and cover anything and everything related to D365 environments, including production. This is wider than a typical ALM role.
This role represents a point of contact for the client, a single ”go-to” person, who will take a request and ensure that it is completed by their team to a high standard and to an agreed and efficient timescale.
We are seeking individuals who are experts in Azure DevOps segments, Microsoft Azure topics and Virtual Machine Management.
Whilst the candidate is not expected to be an F&O developer, with X++ knowledge, any exposure to the F&O ecosystem from a development perspective would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for D365 F&O “environment management” activities, including production.
- Participate strongly in frequent meetings with the client team, be able to understand a business requirement, and map it to a technical requirement.
- Able to articulate a technical problem in a non-technical manner so that key stakeholders from the client do not feel excluded.
- Articulate a technical problem in a non-technical manner
- A point of contact for the client, responsible for taking requests and ensuring a high standard in delivery and to an agreed and efficient timescale.
- Support production system by the scheduling package deployment, refreshing UAT systems with copies of production data and the other required activities
- Leading and coaching junior team members
Requirements:
Mandatory skills
Expert in certain Azure DevOps segments
- Azure DevOps Organization configuration and management
- Azure DevOps Project Process configuration and security
- Repository management including the configuration of Branches, Folders, and preparation Development environments
- Code merge and Release management
- Creation and management of Build and Release Pipelines
- Understanding of Test Plans and deployment
- Understanding the difference and set up for both TFVC and Git-based version control Projects
- Agent Pools and Agents setup alongside Service connections
- Billing and Cost management
- Azure DevOps security concepts
Expert in certain other Microsoft Azure topics, specifically:
- Subscription management
- Key Vault
- Enterprise Applications (client IDs and secrets)
- Resource Groups (virtual machines etc.)
- Azure Automation Accounts
- Storage accounts
- Azure Elastic Pools and Azure SQL
Expert in all activities related to Virtual Machine management in Microsoft Azure, including but not limited to:
- Provisioning and decommissioning
- Resizing
- Backups
- Maintenance of security aspects such as firewall rules
- Automated Stop/Star configuration
- Performance troubleshoot
Knowledge of all elements involved in a typical Dynamics 365 F&O or other ERP implementation, such as:
- Infrastructure components and the concepts
- Integration capabilities (such as OData and Data Management)
- User Security, including hierarchy and roles
- Reporting capabilities, including SSRS and BYOD/Data Lake
- BYOD/Data Lake management, including working with data entities and data export jobs
- Excel integration capabilities and troubleshooting
Experience in all activities related to Microsoft’s Lifecycle Services (“LCS”) website would be considered a plus.
