Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with Cyber Security background

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with at least three (3) years of experience in infrastructure as a service development, utilizing virtualization technologies such as Proxmox and VMware, as well as experience in deploying cybersecurity tools for cloud environments to join our team.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with Cyber Security background to join our innovative team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about technology, focusing on virtualization deployment and cloud infrastructure. You'll design and implement networked cloud systems, use tools like Ansible for automation, and ensure security using cyber security tools. It's a full-time role with opportunities for growth in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Your main tasks will include:

• Designing and implementing virtualization solutions using Proxmox and VMware products like vSphere and vCenter.
• Managing cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Automating tasks with Ansible and other infrastructure deployment tools.
• Deploy and maintain Cyber Security tools and solutions.
• Troubleshooting issues and collaborating with IT teams.
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other technical issues.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of four years of professional experience in virtualization and cloud development solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Cyber Security tool deployment and maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of Ansible and other infrastructure as service related tools.
• Proficiency with version control systems, such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Skills

• Cross-cloud Proficiency (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Hands on knowledge of cyber security monitoring tools for Windows and Linux including firewalls, intrusion detections systems, etc.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools.
