EtonDigital is looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our innovative tech initiatives

EtonDigital is a well-established full service web & mobile agency that builds innovative digital solutions. As of March 2023 EtonDigital became a member of the much larger Holycode group that beside Product Development provides other services such as Nearshore, IT staffing, ERP Development etc.

Our team within EtonDigital consists of 65+ developers, designers, marketing experts and many other top-notch IT professionals who work together on exciting projects and keep abreast of the latest trends in the IT industry. 

Now we are looking for a highly motivated employee for the position of a Chief Technology Officer that offers you the opportunity to join a fast-growing technology organisation that is shifting productivity paradigms in the software engineering industry. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive and scale the Tech organisation within the company, ensuring that our solutions meet and exceed client expectations
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring alignment with technical best practices and industry standards
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure that technology solutions meet the needs of the business
  • Together with Tech team propose and introduce technologies and products by analysing client and market needs
  • Participate in decision-making related to the strategic development of the company in the technological sense, as well as plans and is responsible for budget within your sector
  • Monitor solutions and trends in the field of technologies that may have an impact on the company and analyse business opportunities and risks
  • Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of the company’s Background technology including software systems, boilerplate components, servers/cloud ensuring that these are secure, scalable, and reliable.
  • Monitor and control the quality of work and evaluate the work performance of direct subordinates and their units in order to effectively implement tasks in your sector
  • Contribute to and lead the Tech organisation transformation and evolution process
  • Together with HR, improve the knowledge and expertise of employees in IT sector and plan employee development paths in accordance with selection of clients and technical solutions
  • Together with PMO, improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the tech team to increase their output and bandwidth
  • Attend all relevant meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer programming, software engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong technical background and strong knowledge of current and emerging technologies relevant to IT industry
  • Understanding of the business side of technology and how it contributes to the company’s overall success – good knowledge of business strategy, market dynamics, customer needs, and financial management
  • Proven experience in scaling and leading teams (at least 3-5 years of experience)
  • Open to learning new technologies and methodologies – ability to quickly assess and respond to changes in the market or business environment and adjust the technology strategy accordingly
  • Strong client-facing experience
  • Ability to think and act strategically and proactively
  • Ability to mentor his/her team members (Team leads)
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent english language skills

Pozitivno

Odlična komunikacija izmedju zaposlenih, svi su prijateljski nastrojeni. Mogucnost napredovanja i učenje. Nema prekovremenog rada, ukoliko se to desi dobijaju se sobodni dani. Projekti se rade po sprintovima i sve je super objašnjeno.

Zamerke

Struktura i organizacija nisu na zavidnom nivou. U odnosu na ostale IT kompanije u Srbiji, plate su ispod proseka. Mikromenadzment je izrazen, za sve je zadužena jedna osoba. Veliki broj projekata na kojima se radi u isto vreme. Rokovi za isporuku su izuzetno kratki.
