This position will be an integral part of our Data Team as we head into the next phase of our growth.
Position Summary
Inovatec is looking for a motivated and diligent Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Data Team. The successful candidates will be involved in business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs. They will work closely with clients and IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions.
Candidates will have to understand business at a level of detail that enables them to identify and address critical issues. They will provide data that is accurate, congruent and reliable, and ensure the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems.
Responsibilities
- Business analysis to gather required BI system requirements
- Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to drive data store/ data warehouse/ design and configuration
- Use ETL tools to load data store(s)/ data warehouse(s)
- Create ad hoc reports on daily bases
- Transition developed BI systems to the Operations & Support team
- Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of enterprise data and BI environments for both external and internal users
- Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented for your sphere of influence
- Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members
- Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes
- Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related
- Three to five years of related work experience, including experience with the following: Azure Data Factory, Microsoft BI Stack, Visualization & Reporting Tools (Looker, Jasper)
- Advanced knowledge of SQL language (T-SQL preferable) and RDBMS systems knowledge
- Advanced analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of Statistical Analysis and Modeling
- Knowledge of agile prototyping & data warehouse lifecycle
