Business Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Business Analyst with 3–5 years of experience to join our growing team. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear functional requirements while ensuring solutions align with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

This role requires someone who enjoys problem-solving, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about improving business processes and delivering high-quality digital financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements.
Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to understand business needs.
Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
Work closely with Third Parties, Project Managers, Developers, QA, Business and Operations throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for optimisation and automation.
Support solution design by ensuring business requirements are fully understood and accurately implemented.
Review and validate delivered functionality against agreed requirements.
Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparing test scenarios and supporting business users.
Maintain project documentation, process maps, and business requirement specifications.
Support change management activities, including training materials and user documentation where required.
Ensure solutions comply with regulatory, security, and operational standards within the financial services industry.
 

Required Skills & Experience

3–5 years' experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within Financial Services or FinTech.
Strong experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience creating user stories, use cases, process flows, and business process models.
Good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
Experience working with cross-functional technical teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with banking, payments, card processing, digital banking, AML/KYC, or regulatory projects.
Knowledge of APIs
Experience with Jira and Confluence.
Understanding of SQL for basic data analysis.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
IIBA (ECBA/CCBA/CBAP), Agile BA, or similar certification is considered an asset.
Knowledge in Core Banking Systems is considered an asset.
