CASASOFT is the leading supplier of software products for real estate agents – serving over 1000 customers in Switzerland. Our business is growing fast, and we are power-loading our tech team. We are currently on a lookout for a Backend Engineer (PHP/Symfony), who speaks API fluently, has a SOLID base in PHP, has skills in microservice architecture, and is ready to work in a dynamic environment with a start-up spirit.

Challenges you'll work on:

• CASASOFT's core SaaS web application CASAONE
• Drive, in close coordination with the CTO, the development of the platform towards microservices (AWS) and manage alignment with product and business
• Develop new features and improve the existing functionalities
• Write clean, easily maintainable, modular code
• Optimise application for maximum speed and scalability (customer base is growing rapidly)
• Work in a distributed team

​​​​Our tech stack:

• Backend: Symfony/API-platform, PHP, MySQL, Redis, AWS
• Frontend: React, Redux, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS
• Tooling: Git, Jira, Sentry

• You speak English (Level B2 / C1)
• You have excellent knowledge in PHP (5+ years)
• You are highly experienced in dealing with frameworks such as Symfony, Zend/Laminas and DoctrineORM
• Good knowledge of main AWS services, Nginx web servers, MySQL databases, and Linux makes you shine
• You love to write clean, structured, and well-tested code
• When faced with limits and ambiguity, you become more – not less – creative
• You enjoy developing in an agile and human way, with releases that take minutes, not hours
• You care about performance

Nice to have:

• You have a flair for UI/UX & Product and an ambition to understand client needs and proactively suggest improvements
• Start-up experience is something that you are experienced in
• Speaking German and French too would make you a true rock star
