About the role
We are looking for a "Automotive Test Automation Engineer (Junior)" to join our team in Belgrade or Novi Sad. In this role, you will contribute to automotive testing activities with a strong focus on test specification, automated test implementation, and day-to-day quality assurance. You will work with an in-house Python-based test automation framework and combine manual and generative approaches to build reliable, maintainable test coverage. The role also includes collaboration around CI/CD workflows, making it a good fit for someone who enjoys structured problem-solving, clear communication, and practical automation in an automotive environment.
What you’ll do
- Write clear, structured, and maintainable test specifications based on system and project requirements
- Implement and maintain automated tests using an in-house Python-based testing framework
- Apply both manual and generative approaches to test design and implementation
- Analyze test results, investigate failures, and report issues in a clear and actionable way
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and other stakeholders to improve test coverage and product quality
- Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, automation practices, and overall testing efficiency
Must-have qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working on automotive projects
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in automotive testing
- 2+ years of experience using Python for development, test automation, or related tooling
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team
- Junior level seniority
Nice to have
- Good understanding of automotive communication principles
- Good understanding of object-oriented principles and common design patterns
- Good understanding of batch scripting and automation processes
- Experience with infotainment and Android testing
- Experience with CI/CD automation using tools such as GitHub or Jenkins
- Experience with JIRA and Codebeamer
