I am Product Development Manager/Product Owner, worked on project related to Navigation and Awareness. I started my career with in Wartsila one and a half years ago.

I have extremely positive experience with my colleagues, who are friendly and willing to cooperate and help in constructive way.

I am developing my skills by following and adopting well established SAFe procedure which very clearly aligns the expectations from top management and helps resolve any dependencies between the teams.

In my opinion Wartsila is good please of working because of flexible working hours and combined office/remote work, excellent compensation, private health insurance, friendly work environment, no pressure from the management as long as the work is done, easy-going colleagues, complex but interesting products.

I grew in this company from a young newcomer to a Senior Software Testing Engineer within 6 years of working there.

Today my main project is a reporting application available in desktop and mobile versions. For testers it is important to get acquainted with different spheres of marine industry. I’m proud of my knowledge of onboard equipment, onboard software, different marine rules which we successfully apply in our application.

During my time with the company, I was lucky enough to work on several projects as a main project, as well as get to know the work of other projects as a refresher for my skills. I managed to take part in testing simulators for both onboard and onshore equipment, as well as ship traffic monitoring applications.

This company employs excellent and responsive people who will help at any time. Our team is developing application software, which has been gaining popularity recently and is already used not only for internal customer reporting monitoring, but also for third-party monitoring systems. Every day we have direct contact with our customers who help improve our application.

The company often holds meetings between colleagues to exchange experience, organize work, and improve processes both within teams and within an entire department.

Wärtsilä employees also have fun outside of work. We conduct various team building and corporate events for both adults and children of employees.

I started my career in Wartsila as an office manager a little over a year ago.
