Summary of key responsibilities/deliverables
The role is to act as a Project Management Lead which means that this person is required to have the capability to understand the technology context and demonstrate curiosity, so that realistic and achievable plans can be put in place, along with a detailed understanding of project risks, issues and dependencies.
We are looking for someone who will bring order and discipline, deliver business benefits at an appropriate pace, skilled at managing multiple priorities and communicating effectively with stakeholders of all levels, usually up to Divisional Leadership Team.
In addition to Project Management skills, the role holder will also be required to constantly look to improve our processes and ways of working and help other team members contributing to a collaborative team environment.
What will you be doing?
Project Management
The Project Management Lead will ensure that projects and initiatives are initiated, planned, communicated, managed and monitored though:
- Managing project delivery to agreed time, cost, scope and quality criteria with coaching and guidance from a (Senior) Project Manager
- Planning, forecasting and monitoring workstreams and projects
- Managing dependencies, risks and issues, driving pragmatic ‘fit for purpose' solutions and initiating appropriate action to support workstream / project success
- Managing communications with all stakeholders
- Reporting the progress at regular intervals and generation of ad hoc reports as required
- Creating overall plans for the delivery of the projects with support from a (Senior) Project Manager
- Managing decisions, supported by well-constructed options analysis and relevant dat
Change Management
The Project Management Lead will also engage relevant teams, build plans and support the activities to implement the changes related to projects, with the purpose of achieving acceptance from those responsible for normal business operations for the project products.
Team Member
The Project Management Lead will actively contribute to building and sustaining a collaborative team environment, helping others for the benefit of the team.
Continuous Improvement
Take time to reflect on working in Hyperoptic and the Technology & Innovation Division and suggest ways that efficiency and effectiveness can be improved.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in Telecommunications / IT
- Project Co-ordination / Management
- Hands On delivery
- Knowledge of Telco industry key terminology and business processes
- Proactive approach with an ability to self-manage / work independently
- Excellent English Verbal and Written Skills
- Good MS Office suite skills
- Team player, able to build good working relationships
