Due to their further development, we are looking for a motivated Principle 3D software engineer to join their team in Serbia.
The role of the Principle 3d Software Engineer is to focus on our initiative to migrate proprietary visual engine to Unreal Engine and help shape the long term technical vision of it usage in marine simulation.
Being the main point of contact for technical challenges, you will partner with teams across the globe to provide the very best experiences for our customers.
You will also offer guidance on best practices, maintaining a knowledge repository.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a shared development stream for migration and usage.
- Investigate upcoming engine features and provide guidance on how best to use them.
- Establish a shared Unreal Engine knowledge base.
- Develop engine plugins to solve common developer workflow issues.
- Provide guidance on project configuration/structure.
- Mentor and foster the professional development of a small team while also being a significant individual contributor.
- Partner with tech art to improve and maintain asset pipelines and build systems
- Support of existing visual engine solution.
Qualifications
- 4+ years Unreal Engine experience.
- Excellent C++ architecture, programming, optimization.
- Proficient in any source control, debuggers, profilers and other software development tools (Git, Visual Studio, Unreal Insights and RenderDoc).
- Good knowledge in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent education or experience.
- Team leading and problem solver skills.
Bonus Points
- Understanding of build systems, continuous integration, unit tests, automated functional tests, and testing frameworks.
- Practical knowledge for DX12 API
